my encounter with johnny depp

you guys have asked me to start a thread about my encounter with johnny depp.

i first saw him filming in columbus,wi on morning, but i did't really get to see to much the second time i went monday april 14, an saw the filming in front of the masonic temple in oshkosh,wi.Both of these were during the day, so i missed the meet and greets. After begging my husband for two days, he called in sick to work and took me wednesday, april 16 and here's how the day went.

We arrived around 9:30 am and tried to atch some of the fiming in front of the first national bank, but you couldn't see to much of the filming being done.We walked over near the library and found the trailer base camp and waited there till 11:00 and just then a black suv drives by and the window rolls down and Johnny waved to all the fans there. It was funny because my husband had just brought me back a chicken sadwhich and i was just taking a bite when i saw his car window roll down, the sandwhich flew out of my hands, i grabbed my camera and got a picture.anyway we sat around there till about 1:30 and johnny came out again and wave to us. about 2:00 pm securty came wth barricades and put them up. We stood behind the barrcades till about 8:00pm and they announced that Johnny wa comingout for a meet and greet and if the crowd gt to out of control and pushed anyone or anyone safety looked like it was being threatened, Johnny would leave and per Johnny he would rather disappont thousands than have one person hurt- what a sweet guy!!!!

About 8:30pm he got to us in line.My little boy by this time was fallng asleep and had his head laying on top of the barricades and Johnny bent his head way down to talk to him. He played with my son's hat and told him he had a cool hat there. Then i stuck my hands out to shake his hands and he held both my hands. I said it is a great pleasure to finally meet you and he was still holding both my hands and he rubbed his thumbs on the top of my hands and said oh no, no,no, the pleasure is all mine my dear. and then he moved on down the line.

And i can now die a happy woman!!!! Not only is Johnny Depp a great actor and a handsome man, but he is one of the sweetest, most soft spoken gentle people itruly have ever had the pleasureto meet!!!

omg thats so cool i wish i was there to meet him thats all i really want is to get a look in to his eyes and tell him how wonderful he really is

WOW HOW LUCKY ARE YOU TO HAVE MET THE PERSON THAT THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WOULD LOVE TO EVEN GET A GLIMPS AT. I BET THAT YOU WERE SO SHAKEN UP!!!!! THAT IS SO COOL!!

At the time I was working at a Mexican restaurant and I saved my money and went to the premiere of pirates 2 and I was right there at the fence that stops you from getting close to the celebrities and Johnny walked past but i could not get his attention so I cased after him along the crowd of people but a cop stopped me so the next day at work I wore my t-shirt I had got at Disneyland I was putting drinks on the table and a lady said she loved that picture of him and I told her what happened at the premiere and she said that he is her nephew and he is doing a family reunion and if I wanted to go I said yes and she said she would call me and a week later she said he was not going because his daughter was sick so she said that I could go to a football game with her that Johnny was planning to go to so I went with her and and her cell phone rang and when she was done talking she told me that he could not come so she promised me that she would get me one of his necklaces and a signed autograph. Then she started to tell me personal stuff about him she told me his favorite food is pizza and he hates clowns and that is all she told me.

Recently, I sent a thank you card to Johnny telling how thankful I was that he was so kind to people at the meet and greets during his filming. I told that i had a bad year and meeting him was a bright spot and a lift to my spirits. Today, much to my surprise, as I was truly not expecting anything, I got in the mail a picture of Johnny, with gold written words-"all good wishes" signed by Johnny Depp. That Johnny sure is a sweet , thoughtful man isn't he?
